Target

Founded in 1970, Shinki Intermobile manufactures automotive plastic parts, supplying high-function lightweight components such as console boxes, engine covers, wheel guards and interior trim mainly to Hyundai Motor and Kia.

Deal rationale

Dayou Winia Group said the deal would make it a full-fledged comprehensive auto parts company and maximize synergies among its parts affiliates Dayou AP and Dayou A-Tech (Edaily). NewDaily reported the acquisition laid the groundwork for the group to become a mobility specialist. In 2021 Hyundai Corporation had been preferred bidder and entered final negotiations, which did not conclude (NewDaily, Dec 2021).
