Target
Founded in 1995, Korea Biopharm is a health functional food OEM/ODM manufacturer with two plants in Jincheon, Chungbuk, ten production lines for powders, tablets and capsules, and about 120 products for 58 client companies.
Deal rationale
DxVx said the acquisition aims to enter the CDMO market and build a structure spanning R&D, production and distribution (Newsis). CEO Park Sang-tae said securing a production base links R&D capability to manufacturing; the company plans to expand exports to China from the acquired GMP facility and launch about ten domestic products based on its microbiome research, with synergies expected with Cori Group led by largest shareholder Lim Jong-yoon.
