Target
KC Safety Technology, founded in 1998 and based in Gwangyang, Jeonnam, is an inspection-services firm specializing in statutory inspection of high-pressure gas equipment, with customers including POSCO, Kumho Petrochemical and Hanwha Solutions; 2025 revenue was KRW 17.2bn with operating profit of KRW 1.3bn.
Deal rationale
KC Green Holdings, under a creditor-led workout, signed an SPA on 3 September 2026 to sell 100% of KC Safety Technology to Opus Private Equity's Opus No. 4 PEF for KRW 22.33bn (closing 7 September); per Financial News the sale is part of the self-rescue plan agreed with creditor banks, with proceeds going to debt reduction to bring forward an early exit from the workout. Opus No. 4 PEF was formed in February 2025 at KRW 118bn with anchor capital from KAMCO's Corporate Restructuring Innovation Fund No. 5 and had acquired group affiliate KC Glass in June 2026.
