Target
Korea's leading recruitment portal operating JobKorea (full-time) and Albamon (part-time). Per KED Global it holds about 40% of full-time listings and 60% of part-time listings, with Albamon's revenue overtaking JobKorea's in 2020.
Deal rationale
Per Dealsite, H&Q Korea bought 49.9% in late 2013 for USD 90m (about KRW 95bn) as the first investment of its third blind fund and the rest in 2015 for USD 85m (about KRW 110bn), recovered capital early via a 2018 refinancing, and sold about seven years after first investing. Hankyung (2026) reported H&Q sold 100% to Affinity for the KRW 900bn range with a multiple above 8x and an IRR of about 43%. Per KED Global, Affinity made the highest bid among finalists, and a possible Southeast Asia push drawing on Australia's SEEK was discussed.
